Archive of Documents and Media

Das Archiv für Schriftgut und Medien umfasst die schriftliche Überlieferung des Instituts und der Landsmannschaft der Buchenlanddeutschen sowie Nachlässe von Bukowiner Personen. Zum Sammlungsgut gehören Zeitschriften verschiedener Heimatkreise und Landsmannschaften. Nach Sachthemen und Ländern geordnet finden sich thematische Ordner mit Zeitungsausschnitten. Eine umfangreiche Sammlung historischer Postkarten und Fotos, seltener Zeitungen auf Mikrofilm sowie Audio- und Filmmaterial runden die Sammlung ab.

The Bukowina-Institut’s archive is once again open for on-site research during our regular opening hours. However, you must book an appointment in advance (by email or telephone). Please also let us know which topics you wish to research or which archive materials you require access to – we will prepare these for you.

Unfortunately, it is not possible to browse the archive materials independently.
